Therapeutic relationship is regarded as a significant contributor in leading to positive therapeutic change in psychotherapy across different treatment modalities. In Art Therapy, the uniqueness of therapeutic relationship is the inclusion of art, which turns into a triangular relationship in the space among therapist, client and art. In this workshop, based on case sharing and experiential art-making activity, the characteristics of therapeutic relationship in art therapy with children will be presented with reference from the framework of Psychodynamic perspective and Attachment Theory.
